As the people leader of the Medical Education function, reporting to the Chief Medical Office (CMO) of the Endoscopy business at Medtronic, you will collaborate with Health Care Professionals (HCPs) and internal business partners primarily in the Marketing, Sales, and Medical Affairs functions to lead and execute in-person and virtual physician-led clinical education programs to support the safe and effective use of our products, and ultimately play a role in improving patient care.

Medtronic Endoscopy is based in Santa Clara, CA. This role is open to remote in the United States for well qualified candidates.
A Day in the Life
The Senior Medical Education Manager is responsible for executing the Medical Education strategy to deliver programs to health care professionals on the safe and effective use of our technologies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Lead the development of a comprehensive training curriculum to educate HCPs on the safe and effective use of medical technologies in the gastroenterology and hepatology portfolio
Oversee select hands on professional education programs in partnership with prominent GI societies and institutions to promote our Med Ed programs, support hands on courses, and drive procedural awareness and adoption
Supervise the logistical operations of in person program planning and execution, including program registration pages, HCP registrations, venue contracts, vendor management and payments, documenting metrics, and overall project management tracking
Manage the development, review, documentation and execution of unrestricted educational grants, healthcare professional contracts, and facility agreements according to compliance policies and processes
Cultivate positive, effective relationships with HCPs and internal business partners that drive business results, advance therapy and improve patient outcomes
Lead the collaboration with cross-functional partners to align on various efforts such as clinical messaging strategies; completing required compliance activities; managing customer relations, promoting training programs, and funding grants
Demonstrate willingness to build and maintain positive relationships with a diverse set of peers and colleagues internally and externally, including exceptional customer service when communicating with physician faculty and attendees
Promote medical education programs / resources to various stakeholders and customers via various promotional channels (both internal and external-facing)
Responsible for ensuring content / document review and approval process is in accordance with mandatory guidelines and work instructions that maintain compliance in our regulated industry
Manage Medical Education budget, and ensure that programs and projects are completed on time and on budget
Work independently and navigate complex, sometimes ambiguous situations and processes to achieve desired outcomes
Travel approximately 10%
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree required
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Minimum of 5+ years of managerial experience
Nice to Have
Proficiency with software programs specifically geared toward project management, curriculum development and compliance activities such as MS Office Suite, iPad Apps, SalesForce, Appian, Readsoft, Veeva, eCATS, Arriba, and Cvent
Previous experience with compliance policies in the medical device industry
Previous experience in clinical education and/or adult learning principles a plus

The provided base salary range is used nationally in the United States (except in Puerto Rico). Base pay is based on numerous factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, etc.
