　　Initially anticipated to be a one-year assignment with the potential for extension. The hourly rate range for this position is $34-$74 per hour (plus full benefits) with overtime paid at time and ½ for hours worked over 40 in one week.

　　DESCRIPTION OF WORK -- SPECIFIC

　　Provide direction and technical guidance to discipline work group and assist the management of discipline work process execution and ensure technical adequacy in accordance with company, contract, and industry codes and standards.Assist in the building of an inclusive team environment where all are able and expected to contribute to the maximum of their capabilities. Provide leadership and mentoring to team members.Establish or assist in establishing and maintaining work plans to ensure schedules are met and stakeholder requirements are satisfied. Create and track actions, estimate hours, and update schedules.Devise innovative approaches to solving problems from a variety of detailed technical options and assess cost implications.Contribute directly to the cost-effective design of plumbing and fire protection systems as well as unique requirement driven equipment.Identify major technical uncertainties and present solution options for management decisions.Serve as an advisor for the analysis and solution of engineering problems and interpret drawings, verbal instructions, and applicable codes relevant to project requirements and the ability to articulate explanations.Interface and coordinate with other engineering disciplines and the client in developing the design.Perform other related work as assigned by Mechanical and Plant Design Team Supervisor or Deputy Supervisors.

　　Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or college with nine (9) years of progressive related experience, or in lieu of degree, fifteen (15) years of progressive related experience.Must be a United States citizen.Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.* *

　　Related experience includes, but is not limited to, experience in Piping and Instrument Diagram (P&ID) development, fluid system design, hydraulic, heat transfer, and thermodynamic calculations, and equipment specification and design development for waste processing, nuclear, refinery, power, or chemical process facilities.

　　Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards.

　　Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering work processes, procedures, and specifications.

　　Excellent oral and written communication, planning, and organizational skills.

　　Must be able to travel to project jobsites 1 week per quarter.

　　Possess active security clearance or the ability to obtain a security clearance.

　　Knowledge of Corporate guides and standards.

　　Experience working on DOD government projects and Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs).

　　Experience using SpecsIntact to tailor Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS).

　　Experience with International Plumbing Code, ASME B31, and/or NFPA codes typically used in Diesel Generator Fuel Systems and Fire Detection, Alarm, and Wet Pipe Sprinkler Systems.
