Description:
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing specific products or systems related to recreational vehicles. You will utilize your extensive experience in product design to innovate and improve our product offerings, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and safety. Design and Development: Design and develop mechanical systems and components for recreational vehicles and marine products. This includes conceptualization, 3D modeling, engineering design, and detailed drafting. Engineering Analysis: Perform complex engineering analyses, including stress analysis, thermal analysis, and fluid dynamics, ensuring that designs meet the required specifications and standards. Project Management: Oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet all quality standards. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and product managers, to ensure integrated and efficient design solutions. Prototyping and Testing: Develop and test prototypes, analyze test data, and make necessary design adjustments. Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, calculations, and project progress.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of mechanical design experience, specifically on/off-highway product design. Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, NX). Strong understanding of engineering principles and materials used in on/off-highway product manufacturing. Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and other simulation tools. Excellent project management and leadership skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Skills: Experience with drivetrain and electric vehicle (EV) systems design is a plus. Familiarity with industry standards and certifications relevant to on/off-highway vehicles. Innovative thinking with a focus on continuous improvement.
