  Job Summary:

  Raytheon is looking for an experienced Material Program Manager to join the Advanced Technologies Strategic Business Unit. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is capable of developing and achieving program objectives in a matrixed environment and is able to successfully interface with functional and Program leadership. In this highly visible role, you’ll be the Lead MPM for the HACM (Hypersonic Attack Cruise Missile) in the AT SBU, and as the Lead MPM you will be the liaison between Supply Chain and the Program Team. You’ll create and execute Material Program Strategies and Plans to ensure the flawless execution of products and programs from the front end of the business through contract closure.

  This position supports a product development effort that requires the ability to operate in a challenging and constantly changing environment. A sense of humor, an ability to handle pressure, an ability to learn new things quickly, and an ability to multi-task effectively are all desired personality traits.

  This position is an onsite role.

  Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  Strong Earned Value Management and financial management skills and participation in quarterly EACs and weekly material sales forecasting.

  Develop, execute, and/or independently review material program plans and supplier management plans.

  Develop and lead supply chain proposal activities including material pricing and SC labor bases of estimates.

  Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives.

  Plan and execute sourcing decisions and support the Make/Buy/Where process.

  Manage supply chain metrics and proactively address program and functional issues.

  Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to manage a Line of Balance (LOB) based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and work cross-functionally to resolve any supplier issues or material availability gaps to meeting MRP.

  Basic Qualifications:

  Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience

  Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

  U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management or related.

  P rogressive professional experience with a combination of experience in Program Management, Material Program Management, Procurement, Contracts, Finance, Operations, and/or Strategic Sourcing.

  Experience using manufacturing or enterprise planning tools (SAP/PRISM).

  Able to develop complex strategies and manage tactical execution.

  Ability to lead complex product development efforts.

  Strong executive presence and excellent reporting/communication skills including conflict resolution.

  Experience in a matrixed organizational structure.

  Ability to develop strategies for long-term opportunities, and ability to develop plans to meet short-term requirements.

  Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

  Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

  Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

  Employee Referral eligibility:

  This requisition is eligible for an employee referral award. ALL eligibility requirements must be met to receive the referral award.

  This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.   The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

  This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
