  Manufacturing Engineers develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying products and manufacturing methods. They provide premier engineering and manufacturing support expertise to enable on-time delivery with performance and reliability that exceed customer expectations. They execute across all phases of a program including proposal capture, process development, transition to production, and production support.May be eligible for relocation.Primary Responsibilities:

  Ability to work cross functionally with operations, maintenance, quality, and design to implement robust processes.Translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes.Experience with layout design for assembly and material handling.Create, maintain, and update manufacturing procedures and technical documents.Translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes.Derive and implement statistical process controls.Design tooling and fixtures for assembly. Support troubleshooting and updating of equipment the supports assembly. CAD experience preferred.Drive Continuous Improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate, reduce costs (both direct and indirect) using CORE principles and data driven decision making.Lead and participate in project management and execution. Preferred experience working with contractors.Working experience troubleshooting test equipment. Experience with mechanical/electrical test systems preferred.Make recommendations concerning acquisition and use of new technological equipment and materials.Mentoring engineers in early career development..Supports site safety.Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.Experience working in a manufacturing environment (can be through internships, coop work).Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.Preferred Qualifications:

  Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for SolidWorks and NX) and/or simulation tools preferred.Experience with diagnostic and repair of PCBs preferred.Development of Specialized Tooling (Jigs, Fixtures, Packaging) experience preferred.Experience in developing manufacturing processes and/or work cells.Experience with electromechanical integration of piece parts and subassemblies preferred.Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
