  OnsiteThe Principal Specialist, Contracts and Customer Service position is a part of the aftermarket team located in Rockford, IL. This position would be a part of a great team administrating customers within North America, Europe and the Middle East.Primary Responsibilities:

  Communicate effectively and professionally with customersDigest large amounts of data quickly while dealing with ambiguityManagement of contracts to include assistance with customer delivery status inquiries, customer delivery expedite requests, the implementation of contract modifications to standard work and other customer requests as neededAbility to train and develop others around them in areas of expertiseContinue to develop and participate in efficient process improvements using CORE PrinciplesReceipt, review, and processing of customer orders, RFQ's and discrepancies in accordance with standard terms and conditions or customer specific contractual obligationsExtensive internal interface with various support organizations within the organizationEnsuring all necessary flow-downs to supply chain, shipping, quality, etc. are communicated timely and accuratelyResponsible for assisting with timely payment from customersMust be willing and able to travel 5% of the timeBasic Qualifications:

  Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experienceMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.   Preferred Qualifications:

  Customer Service experience with the ability to collaborate amongst internal multiple functions and external customersPrior experience supporting contractsPrior distribution or logistics experience and knowledge of international trade protocolsAbility to process large amounts of information quickly, handle ambiguity, make sound business decisions, and be open mindedExperience with Microsoft applications, SAP, reporting, database manipulation and/or VBA not required but a plusCollins Aerospace, an RTX company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
