What you'll do...
Join the Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance Team in our pursuit to constantly improve our world class hazardous waste program. Reporting to the EHS Compliance Senior Director, the Senior Manager I, Hazardous Waste Compliance will support business strategies and engage in cross-functional efforts by identifying potential compliance risks and developing standards and controls to comply with hazardous waste regulations and drive efficient services through vendor management. The Senior Manager I, Hazardous Waste Compliance is a critical thought-leadership role providing strategic and compliance advice to business leadership and other stakeholders.

Partner with team members on the design, process improvement and implementation of hazardous waste servicesLead monitoring efforts with internal and external resources to assess the implementation of standards and controls within our operation and identify residual risks. Develop and implement controls to mitigate these residual risksCoordinate internal and external resources to ensure required regulatory reporting obligations are metBe a critical stakeholder and proactive participant in Walmart's Environmental Sustainability programs as we drive to a more regenerative companySupport new business development as we expand our footprint and business modelSupport proactive communication with federal and state government officials to resolve regulatory contacts in our facilitiesInvestigate and support our operational team in stores and clubs to resolve regulatory contactsLeverage indicators and data integration to identify new hazards, assess compliance risks and implement corrective systemic solutionsLead and be proactively involved in cross-functional projects and interactions with other areas in the company
