About Senior Manager, Shareholder Reporting

  Job Description:

  Do you have strong knowledge of US GAAP for investment companies? Are you also familiar with alternative asset classes (e.g. crypto, commodities, derivatives, distressed debt, real estate)? The Senior Manager role combines these subject matter areas with the responsibility for designing and coordinating production of Securities Exchange Act of 1934, SEC registered financial reports (10-K and 10-Q) for investors and regulators. You will contribute to an operations team to efficiently deliver accurate reporting for a variety of registered alternative asset products. Figuring out how to scale and automate processes to support a growing line of products with diverse investments and structures will be a major responsibility. The role will interact with many groups within the Fidelity organization and effectively represents the business to customers and business partners.

  Bachelor's Degree expected6+ years of financial services experience with an asset manager, audit firm or custodian bank, preferably in accounting operations or administration for private equity or hedge funds3+ years people management experience preferredExtensive working experience using Geneva platform for partnership accounting and reportingAdvanced accounting, operational or reporting knowledge for alternative asset classes (e.g., commodities, real estate, private equity, distressed securities, derivatives, cryptocurrencies)In-depth knowledge of US GAAP financial reporting standards for investment companies that file periodic reports under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.Ability to lead independently and in an operations-focused, fast paced team environmentStrong working knowledge of project and relationship managementExcellent written and verbal communications skills and strong presentation capability

  In Shareholder Reporting, we're on a mission to deliver SMART, SIMPLE and SCALABLE shareholder reporting solutions while cultivating our talent. Our team is part of the Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) organization. In fact, we're the largest service line within FFIO and are responsible for producing and distributing financial statements, prospectuses, and other fund and legal documents to our customers and filing them with the SEC. Doing this in the smartest and most effective way is more important than ever as we are in the midst of implementing Fidelity's new and alternative investment products, new and changing regulations, and a brand new technology platform that will transform the way we work.
