  Sr Manager, Protein Procurement

  ​ ​ Manages the protein category (beef, chicken, pork ) for the domestic supply chain and as needed for licensed business to ensure supplier and distributor relationships , sharp negotiated pricing, correct and timely reporting, and end to end product supply. ​

  Key Responsibilities

  ​ ​ Identify and implement cost mitigation strategies including monitor ing commodity markets to anticipate market changes. Communicate internally on market conditions and financial forecast guidance for the finance department and update all integral tracking spreadsheets. ​

  Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual production forecasts to raw material suppliers, further processors, and distributors utilizing consistent supply chain methodologies and communication formats .

  ​ ​ Directly monitor inventory levels utilizing supply chain software to track, troubleshoot and problem solve issues including inbound and outbound transportation movement within distribution. ​

  ​ ​ Develop strategic initiatives to secure all protein raw material and further processing capacity for raw material to scale for future growth. ​

  ​ ​ Maintain strategic supplier relationships to ensure Shake Shack is the preferred buyer and Stand For Something Good criteria is preserved. ​

  Site visits of harvest facilities and processing plants to determine physical capabilities; working with suppliers, commercialization, and quality assurance teams to maintain and improve quality.

  Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  8-10 years of related experience

  ​ ​ Protein Buyer at a food distributor or meat distributor

  ​ Chain restaurant protein or perishable category manager

  ​ Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills

  ​ Negotiation skills

  ​ High emotional intelligence

  ​ Ad e pt with Microsoft Suite platforms

  ​ Capable of learning and fluidly u tilizing new technology ​

  20% travel as needed

  Pay Range - $118,595.00 - $151,245.00
