Senior Manager, Project Program Management - Encore Enterprise Platforms

This role is hybrid meaning associates typically spend about half their time (2-3 days per week) in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting. Monday and Fridays are enterprise- wide virtual work days . Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are in-person days for associates to spend time together working in our beautifully-designed team areas.

The Role:

In this role, you will create strategy and work on high priority projects for the company. You will collaborate with smart and passionate leaders to influence results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line. You lead important and exciting projects from day one, working alongside key stakeholders across the company. This specific role would be responsible for standing up and running a program for one of our most critical enterprise platforms. This platform will be at the foundation of all of our lines of business and instrumental to our technology transformation.

Responsibilities:

Drive complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction.

Designing, developing, and managing project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements

Ensuring projects are being delivered on time and on budget within a challenging environment while simultaneously managing risk

Partnering cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery

Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments

The person will:

Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive projects and program efforts

Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment

Display a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates through their leadership style

Proactively identify unmet needs and gaps and create solutions, including anticipatory and risk-mitigating actions.

Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience

At least 5 Years of Project Management, Program Management or Consulting experience

At least 4 years of experience supporting, partnering or interacting with internal business clients

Preferred Qualifications

MBA preferred

At least 3 years experience working in a high-growth company, executing initiatives under both short and long timelines

At least 5 years experience partnering effectively with senior leaders

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $172,900 - $197,300 for Sr Manager, Project Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
