  Purpose

  Leads and oversees GBP Product Onboarding for Digital Channels in Canada ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

  What You’ll Do:

  Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

  Partnering with Global Business Payments product owners and Business Banking Segments (Small Business, Commercial, Corporate) to deliver foundational capabilities and features for the ScotiaConnect desktop and mobile applications

  Collaborate with the Product and Technology teams to understand and articulate the product vision, including the customer impacts, business/stakeholder value, system dependencies and technological processes, both internal and external

  Gather input and requirements for product development and execute user acceptance testing in line with Agile methodology

  Work closely with the IT team to develop solutions to strengthen product capabilities while delivering with high quality and value

  Partner with UX and design to create seamless digital customer experiences that supports customers cash management

  Develop a vision and roadmap with collaboration from product and technology teams that prepare digital channels for future features and enterprise payment products Define detailed user stories (business requirements) with applicable acceptance criteria in collaboration with the product and technology teams to ensure a clear understanding of the requirements to successfully meet business goals

  Decompose larger requirements or journeys (“epics”) into features and user stories that can be understood and committed to by members of the team

  Participate in the technology grooming and sizing discussions for the user stories to ensure a common understanding

  Execute on supporting documentation and definition required to complete detailed user stories

  Ensure Product Teams are informed if changes occur that impact delivery to the business

  Work with team to manage a backlog of clearly defined and prioritized features and capabilities, understanding changes that may impact deliverables and prioritization

  Review and approve finished development work before release into production

  Contributes to discussions on solutions and executes assigned priorities objectively and with consideration and awareness of potential impact on other initiatives

  Enhance and manage product teams performance across digital and business expertise

  Help build a digital first mandate with teams that meets both customer and business needs

  Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define system and process requirements, develop implementation and change management plans and detail specific tactics to address opportunities and barriers.

  Communicate with internal stakeholders and partners to seek understanding and exchange ideas; ensure communication is positioned in terms that are easy to understand by a diverse group

  Willing to share ideas with others, listen to all ideas and build on the efforts of the team

  Ensure awareness of market and trends in the business environment; using research and available analysis to help inform ideas

  Participating in Agile team projects with responsibility for release planning, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and product owner retrospective

  Review stories with team to optimize functionality and features that align with product vision

  Participate in prioritization process to ensure focus on stories going into sprints

  Facilitate mechanisms for meaningful user testing and customer feedback

  Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

  Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

  Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team.

  What You’ll Bring:

  Familiarity with Agile Project Management

  Knowledge of PSPO

  Experience in Customer and product onboarding, servicing, and support

  Understanding of AML, KYC, NIRA

  Work Arrangement:

  Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Limited travel domestically.#LI-Hybrid
