Partner Mainframe Modernization initiative at AWS is on a mission to our partners help our joint enterprise customers modernize their mainframes to AWS, take advantage of AWS Cloud platform and accelerate time to value.
As a Senior Manager – Partner Development Management - Mainframe Modernization, you will have the exciting opportunity to lead a team of Mainframe modernization business specialists who work with AWS partners to build capabilities leveraging AWS cloud platform, our cutting-edge mainframe modernization tools and services, and accelerate modernization of mainframe workloads to AWS. You will work closely with the cross-functional global enterprise and industry teams, including Business Development, Solutions Architecture, Professional Services, Training, Sales Enablement, Sales Operations, Marketing, Services/Product, and Sales teams. You must be comfortable with leading and managing teams with reportees, and influencing cross functional global teams in dynamic organizations, as most of your responsibilities will have interdependencies with other teams within AWS. You will have responsibility to carry a target for partner mainframe modernization GTM, allocate and manage targets for partner mainframe modernization specialists in your team.
To be successful in this role, you must have experience building and managing GTM and/or sales teams, developing and executing strategic GTM plans including carrying targets, and experience in cloud transformation and/or mainframe modernizations. In addition to be a business leader, you will be a people manager who will build/develop high performance teams, and create an inclusive and culture that drives excellence. You should have experience working with enterprise IT and appreciate how System integration and consulting partners work. You should have analytical acumen, synthesis, structuring, and problem-solving skills to translate ambiguous, and often incomplete, information into action plans and insights. You will need a bias for ‘invention’ and ‘simplification’, data-driven mechanisms, and effective metrics measurement. You will also need passion for narrative style writing and be comfortable developing compelling narrative memos.

Key job responsibilities
As a business leader, you will develop GTM strategy and plan for partner segment with the objective to accelerate modernization of Mainframe workloads to AWS working with partners
Own responsibility for execution of Mainframe modernization GTM plan across partners, including carrying partner segment level targets, and allocate and manage targets to your teams
As a people manager, you will build/develop high performance teams, and create an inclusive and culture that drives excellence.
Actively listen to partners and their scaling challenges, and create mechanisms to address these and accelerate growth and scaling with partners
Build stakeholder engagement and relationships across key partner executives and stakeholder that make decisions and/or influence partner strategic decisions on mainframe modernization
Develop and mature cross-functional customer engagement mechanisms for planning and execution across WWSO, Partner, Service, ProServe and other responsible AWS teams.

Basic Qualifications
10+ years of experience in GTM and/or Sales roles with responsibility for sales/GTM strategy and execution, including carrying targets
10+ years of experience as a people manager directly managing sales/GTM teams with responsibility to hire and develop the best
10+ years of leadership experience in cloud transformation and/or mainframe modernization
Experience developing, managing, and executing GTM/sales plans through influence across a cross-functional set of stakeholders
Experience communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple teams
Preferred Qualifications
Technical degree in Computer Science / Engineering / MIS / Math; MBA
15+ years of technology consulting experience
10+ experience as a people manager, directly managing sales/GTM teams
10+ years in GTM planning and execution
Experience working with cross-functional global teams in a dynamic organization
Leadership experience in senior roles at product and/or Consulting/SI companies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $154,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $288,200/year in our highest geographic market.
