Senior Manager of Customer Data Engineering
Overview: At HP, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager of Customer Data Engineering to lead our team in designing, developing, and integrating solutions for our large enterprise customer data systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, hands-on experience in data engineering, and a proven track record in managing teams to deliver innovative solutions. This role is highly visible within the enterprise, requiring strong collaboration and communication with executive leaders to discover customer profiles, products, services, and integrate into customer products and features.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of data engineers in designing, developing, and integrating scalable and efficient solutions for managing customer data within a large enterprise environment, focusing on solving complex data integration, data virtualization, and data mesh challenges.
Drive the strategy and execution of customer data engineering projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Communicate effectively with executive leaders to provide updates and gather insights on addressing complex data challenges, prioritization, and data patterns design.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Oversee the development and implementation of data pipelines, ETL processes, data models, and data integration solutions to optimize data quality, reliability, and accessibility.
Define and enforce best practices, standards, and methodologies for data engineering processes and ensure compliance with industry regulations and data governance standards.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of hands-on experience in complex data engineering involving large-scale data systems, data integration, data virtualization, and data mesh strategies.
Proficiency in data engineering technologies such as SQL, Python, ETL tools, data modeling, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and mentor technical teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable, and innovative data engineering solutions aligned with business goals.
