The Senior Manager, Commercial Planning and Governance – Greater China and Mongolia (GCM) will work closely with Senior Vice President, Commercial Services and Sr Dir Revenue Management & Commercial Services, GCM, responsible to manage and govern (where applicable) programs and projects. This role involves developing and maintaining solutions, business processes, standards, procedures, and best practices.
This position will help facilitate priority regional team meetings to drive discussion, decision, and alignment. This position will manage and support the annual process of identification of commercial priorities, tracking and completion thereof. This role will play a key role in steering and co-leading the company’s commercial planning and governance processes in close liaison with both internal and external key stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is highly skilled in communication via business planning materials. The position is required to be able to transform and articulate clearly, effectively, and coherently a highly complex subject onto an easy to understand and influential planning process. The position is required to work with a wide range of stakeholders, therefore proactively discovering, managing & solving program management related issues and overseeing the full project management life cycle are crucial.
What will I be doing?
Specific duties of the position are as follows:
Commercial Planning & Governance
· Manage/Lead effectively GCM Commercial Services programs/Projects.
· Lead the co-ordination of yearly commercial priorities and commercial program planning.
· Manage Commercial Services project workstreams across all related departments.
· Partner with GCM Commercial Services Leadership groups to effectively develop project plans and represent the needs for GCM Commercial Services initiatives.
· Drive change management and communication processes with focus on key commercial initiatives.
· Be a liaison point to represent GCM within wider geo-scope projects.
· Oversee successful implementation of new projects, maintenance, and support of product enhancements with partners such as IT, Finance, Operations and HR
· Manage project budgets as required by a project owner.
· Governance and oversight of internal/external vendors (technology, process, project)
· The role will need to manage stakeholders at all levels and on multiple project work streams.
· Help run operational/project review meeting to include development and status reports on a timely basis.
· Ensure determined project delivery methodology and standard practices are being followed through.
· Recommend process improvements and bring new ideas & solution to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
· Prepare commercial reports, support the development and execution of communications to both internal and external audiences (GMs, owners, customer groups, etc.)
Telling the Story:
· Crafting and telling a business narrative through presentations and meetings
· Building the story coherently and collaboratively, applying stakeholders’ interviews, available data, and present recommended best paths forward
· Consolidating information into presentations and supporting materials.
· Maintaining the narrative through the project cycle across stakeholders.
People Management:
· Be an excellent coach and mentor, encourage the talent development and create succession plan, and address performance issues in a supportive, timely and decisive manner.
The role will also need to guide the Exec. Sales Performance in GCM to manage SIP process effectively for GCM Sales Team Members.

What are we looking for?
1. Minimum five (5) years work experience in a project management, consulting, or strategy type role.
2. Minimum two (2) years experience managing complex projects.
3. Expert user of Microsoft Project (or equivalent), Power Point and Excel.
4. Experience consulting on and managing diverse project types
5. Ability to build clear and concise presentations for distribution to a wide range of stakeholders
6. Ability to deal with tight timelines to complete the projects/work assignments.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experienced in working for a large multinational firm.
2. Experienced in working with Business Intelligence tools
3. Experienced in the travel and hospitality sector.
4. Experienced presenting to executives
