The primaryduties of the position include:To plan, execute, and complete geotechnical tasks on assigned projectsindependently and collaboratively.Review design and construction submittals for geotechnical compliance withapplicable codes, design standards, project requirements, and contractdocuments.Perform geotechnical analyses, prepare proposals and reports, andcoordinate with designers and contractors to implement recommendations onplans and in the field.Support development of technical scope of works and fee proposals, as wellas new project pursuits related to geotechnical services.Leadership role in planning, organizing, and coordinating the work ofentry- and mid-level professionalsParticipation on Risk Informed Decision Making (RIDM) teams#LI-LA1QualificationsRequired QualificationsCandidate will be a technical expert, leader, and authority in projectsand tasks involving geotechnical/geologic engineering. Requiredqualifications include:Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering,Geology, Engineering Geology, or Civil EngineeringPE with ability to obtain CO through reciprocity.Geotechnical engineering experience on dams, levees, hydraulicstructures, or civil works infrastructure.Experience with Microsoft Office applications, and engineering software(SEEP/W, SLOPE/W, gINT, GIS, Civil 3D, Leapfrog, Settle3D)or other software as appropriate.Knowledgeable of today's technical standards, including but not limited toUSACE, Reclamation, FERC, etc.Ability to independently develop geotechnical data/engineering reportsAbility to independently make decisions and recommendations that will impact aproject's activities and directionExperienced with the technical review for compliance with project technicalrequirementsAbility to independently complete and/or coordinate analyses associated withsettlement, slope stability and embankment design, foundation design,retaining wall design, lateral deep foundation response, requiredAttitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-ownedculture.Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a teamenvironment.Demonstrated leadership skills.Ability to work on multiple assignments successfully.The candidate shall have at least 10 years or more experience in the generalfield of geotechnical or geological engineering, specializing in:Dams, levees and hydrau ic structuresShallow/Deep FoundationsLateral AnalysesExperience in subsurface investigationsField & laboratory testing and the determination of in-situ materialpropertiesSoil compaction and earthwork constructionSoil mechanicsSeepage and pipingFoundation inspection and assessmentLandslide and slope stability...
