  Job Description

  The opportunity

  This position is accountable for designing, developing, testing, delivering, maintaining and improving business applications as a member of a team, works across full-stack through entire software development lifecycle. Ensuring software implementation are complied with Manulife technical and security standard.

  Responsibilities

  To plan, guide, align & maintain IT systems (strategic & operational plans).

  Monitors and understanding of currently emerging technologies.

  Guides the development of the corporate architecture and design of technical blueprint.

  Provides work breakdown structure and effort estimation for IT project.

  Ensures engineering best practices and design decisions are applied into implementation of systems.

  Ensure appropriate levels of risk skills and experience within the team to support consistent risk management practices.

  Senior Full-stack Software Engineer will be member of IT Department and will report to the Head of Engineering & Architecture. This job holder will work closely with IT Solution Architect to directly manage solution architects and oversee or influence the work of software development teams or contractors.

  What we are looking for

  Degree holder or above in Computer Science/IT or related disciplines.

  5 years+ all-round in developing enterprise level application in which at least 2 years in managerial role or technical lead role.

  Experience with framework such as: React, React Native, Angular

  Experience with programming language such as: JavaScript, Java

  Good API skills (technologies such as Express/Node, Java Spring REST or WebApi2)

  Hands-on RDBMS experience (data modeling, analysis, programming, stored procedures)

  Good foundation in data structures, algorithms, and OO Design with rock-solid programming skills

  Strong in managing software development and deliveries.

  Strong in designing application architect, create functional specification, technical design and other technical documents relating to software development.

  A demonstrated ability to manage professional level employees.

  Strong communication skill, able to work under pressure.

  Proactive and strong sense of responsibility and a helpful attitude.

  Good interpersonal skills and excellent organizational and leadership skills.

  Fluent English self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and clear focus on high quality
