  The Opportunity

  The Senior Financial Analyst will support the Finance and Accounting ALFA team for delivering New Auto Finance Initiatives onto Ally's auto servicing platform. The position will primarily be responsible for project-based working including prioritizing enhancements, performing testing, and supporting deployment strategies.

  The Work Itself

  Assist in the development of accounting project plans and support through executionGather accounting requirements and write accounting test casesValidation of accounting for defects, workarounds, and new requirements (reviewing test results to ensure system is behaving as expected)Collaborate with Technology and Operation teams to resolve and troubleshoot issuesResearch general ledger transactions in various systems including SAP, ALFA, and ABSPerform data analysis using Excel and COGNOSPartner with Business Unit personnel to understand various auto finance transactionsDocument processes and findingsSupport the broader Advantage Finance & Accounting team on various projects as neededThe Skills You Bring

  3+ years previous work experience in Accounting/Finance field requiredBachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field requiredAdvanced degree or CPA preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAdvanced MS Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)Power BI, COGNOS, and/or SQL experience is a plus, but not requiredProven track record of driving for results with minimal ongoing directionStrong attention to detail balanced with knowing the right altitude necessary to deliver on requirementsEnergetic and inquisitive, quick learner, takes initiative, team player, and able to multi-taskOperate in ambiguity and work in a complex matrix organizationAbility to organize data, perform independent analysis, provide and articulate explanations to managementCommunicate effectively, both written and verbalHow We'll Have Your Back

  Base Pay Range:

  Emerging: 70000

  Experienced: 85000

  Expert: 100000

  Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan
