The primary role of the Senior Financial Analyst is to assist the FP&A Director and CFO with all aspects of the company's monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement preparation, analysis and tracking of accounts. They will be responsible for all supplemental Revenue reporting, analysis, and forecasting. Also, to update financial models and do analysis to help the company make well-informed business decisions. Actual performance will be used to refine these models, track performance against projections, and recommend business decisions/enhancements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited, to the following:
Revenue Analysis & Validation:
Extract data from various systems and analyze revenue by agency, by client, and by line of service.Monthly, review reports with Business Leaders to recommend and pursue actionable items.Monthly, review carrier reports versus budgeted/forecasted revenue to validate commissions received vs expectations.Monthly, validate new business analysis - reported vs actual.Financial Planning and Analysis
Participate in annual budgeting and monthly forecasting.Manage Producer and Account Management production through reporting and analysis.Prepare and format financial documentsaccording to established guidelines and templates,ensuring accuracy and completeness.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Mathematics requiredMinimum of five (5) to eight (8) years of corporatefinance experience. Experience must be recent.High proficiency with data extraction, development of complex business models and analysis.Proven ability to translate data into action plans.Exceptionally advanced MS Excel skills.Comfortable working with relational databases and utilizing SQL to retrieve, modify, and manage data, are a plus.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
