Purpose:
Finance Business Partnering (FBP) at Unilever is a highly dynamic and exciting role. As Finance Business Partner for Nutrition and Ice Cream Cambodia and Laos, you will be the forefront of the business in driving finance and business agenda in delivering our Strategic Objectives.
Working closely with business unit and category leaders of Nutrition and Ice Cream, your finance and commercial leadership will be critical in driving key agenda of the business. The role typically includes supporting the business in defining the right strategies, managing business cases, simulation, scenarios run to support new launch decisions, monthly forecast update and performance analysis and financial evaluations, drive strategic analysis to drive long term value creation such as driving resource allocation and effective spend on brand and marketing investment, driving savings and optimization to fund growth (5S, Fuel for Growth), pricing strategy as well as driving clarity and long-term growth and portfolio ambition through integrated business planning and S&OP process.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide finance and commercial partnering to BU and category team in the areas of performance management and evaluation of investment decisions, support long term planning with clear financial roadmap.
Drive quality and timely Business Case evaluations (pre and post launch), Simulation and Scenarios run for the review and approval for Leadership Team, CCBT, or Investor Board.
Drive performance management through S&OP Process including monthly performance review of BU, categories and brands including financial forecasting, actual performance analysis vs. forecast and prior year in all P&L line, and develop corrective actions to close gaps to targets, performance interventions if needed.
Co-ordinate with cross functional teams to understand cost movements, advise on pricing opportunities with good balancing between growth and delivering value (gross margin)
Co-drive Fuel for Growth/Savings agenda through collaboration with cross functional team (MKT, CD, SCF, R&D, Sourcing Units, Procurement etc.)
Drive return on marketing investment (ROMI) and promotional efficiencies (OPSO) under BU including pre and post evaluations.
Manage risk and opportunity tradeoffs including resource allocation within categories/brand and channels.
Participate in core business meetings, provide financial advice and viewpoints, and provide support in meeting preparations as required.
Identifying opportunities for processes and reports for simplification and harmonization.
Manage complex issues and translate them into small pieces with clear, structured recommendations.
Co-ordinate with SEA BU finance teams in matters relating to category business, as required, and support other financial analysis for SEA BU or Global/SEA BU projects as needed.
Support in preparing certain reports (e.g. monthly, quarterly, ad-hoc requests for Global reporting submission) as required by direct line manager.
Skills and Qualifications:
2 or 3+ years of experience in finance/accounting/audit or management.
Ability to contribute, influence and work effectively and collaboratively in a cross-functional matrix organization.
Self-starter, independent thinker, action oriented, and passionate with strong engagement, presentation and communication skills.
Have an entrepreneurial mindset with resourcefulness and a sustainable outlook.
Ability to work with Excel, Pivot, and PowerPoint
Passionate about number and data learning and management
Able to make decisions despite uncertainty with rationality and logic.
Learning agility and adaptability in a demanding and fast-paced environment
Good written and verbal communication in both Khmer and English
