BI Data Analyst - Job Description:
The Business Intelligence Data Analyst is responsible for translating data into insights that inform business decisions. This role involves analyzing complex data sets to identify business and market trends. The analyst will work closely with various teams to improve data-driven decision-making.
The BI tools used by the Business Intelligence Data Analyst uses large structured and unstructured datasets to identify new opportunities, control quality delivery practices and to generate a stable and scalable long-term delivery.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Reporting : Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights. Create reports and dashboards to present findings.
Business Intelligence Development : Develop and maintain BI tools and systems, including data warehouses and ETL processes.
Data Quality Assurance : Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data through quality checks and validation.
Collaboration with Stakeholders : Work with department heads and management to define data needs and deliver insights. Work closely with the Quality & Compliance Value Stream Owners to develop control charts and predictive modelling on in-process key performance indicators for early detection of failures and to deploy effective risk management processes.
Trend Analysis and Forecasting : Identify market and business trends to support strategic planning. Analyze data incidences and processes to optimize BI solutions and reports.
Data Governance and Compliance : Adhere to data governance policies and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
Qualifications
Build automated reports and dashboards with the help of Power BI and other reporting tools.
Experienced in tools and systems on MS SQL Server BI Stack, including SSRS and TSQL, Power Query, MDX, PowerBI, and DAX (https://intellipaat.com/blog/dax-power-bi/) .
Be able to quickly shape data into reporting and analytics solutions. Create functional reporting.
Demonstrated knowledge of business intelligence, data analytics, and data management policies and practices in a complex organizational environment.
Experience analyzing primary and secondary data source to interpret trends or patterns in complex and large data sets.
Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
