Verdantas is a national consulting group seeking a talented Sr. Environmental Project Manager to join our team in the Philadelphia office.
Verdantas is actively growing in the Mid-Atlantic region. Come join a group of technically diverse, strategically minded consultants to help grow our environmental services throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The successful candidate will be excited about engaging with both new clients as well as clients from our existing portfolio and the opportunity to grow our team.
Responsibilities:
Business development capabilities as a seller-doer; ability to write/support winning technical and cost proposals
Participating in marketing and business development activities to include lead generation, project development, and proposal preparation
Collaborate with managers and staff from other Verdantas offices around the country
Provide technical and client management support for a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate, industrial, institutional, and public sector clients
Ongoing participation in professional society meetings, etc. developing and maintaining relationships with key clients, teaming partners, and potential staff hires
Developing, planning and managing environmental investigations, engineering/geologic studies and remediation projects to meet our client’s needs
Prepare and oversee regulatory agency submittals, including permit applications, monitoring reports, etc. and interface-liaison with regulators on behalf of our clients
Project and task management, including both internal staff and subconsultants/subcontractors as needed to complete projects on-time and within established budgets
Technical report preparation and review
Excellent technical writing and communication skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Geology and 10 or more relative years of experience
Strong technical background conducting preliminary assessments, site/remedial investigations and implementing remedial technologies
Experience directing and managing sophisticated acquisition and divestiture projects and proficiency with due diligence activities
Proven ability to communicate both verbal, and written
Strong data collection, evaluation, and technical writing skills
Knowledge of PA and EPA regulations and guidance documents, MD & DE knowledge also desirable
Professional certification (PE or PG)
Must be able to pass a background check
