Job Purpose
The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), a subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (ICE) presents a unique opportunity for a full-time, Senior Engineer of IT Multimedia Engineering. This person would be joining a high-performance team responsible for multimedia applications and broadcasting, who have a passion for next-generation media technology platforms.
The IT Multimedia Engineering team's focus is to deliver core system engineering for the historic NYSE building and all ICE offices using cutting-edge, innovative media platforms and technologies. This team is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting ICE/NYSE Multimedia and Broadcasting systems. As part of the ITME team, you will oversee the full project lifecycle and daily support for digital signage platforms, broadcasting, IPTV/streaming, video walls and AV over IP environments.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Engineer of the IT Multimedia Engineering team, you would have a deep understanding of IT, Broadcast, and Multimedia technologies; and would be proficient at engineering and supporting digital experiences, broadcast centers, studios, and control rooms. You will be required to manage broad and granular aspects of a global multimedia program. Proficiency in project and change management, along with the ability to problem-solve in collaboration with executive leadership is highly desired. As an IT Multimedia Engineer, you should possess a deliverables-first mentality, outstanding technical proficiency, and a comprehensive sense of ownership of all on-going projects. Simultaneously engineering multiple projects and managing multimedia assets, as well as refining video transmission workflows is key to succeeding in this position.
Manage all activities related to designing, building, monitoring and maintenance of high performance, high availability, multimedia environments (Digital Signage, Broadcast, IPTV, Video Walls, AV/IT Technologies including AV over IP networking). Design and support broadcast studios with the engineering skillset - from discovery of the request all the way through to implementation, ownership of the engineering, and support post-production of the project. Lead project design discussions around scalable media systems architecture and document requirements including system diagrams, RFPs, hardware specifications, redundancy/high availability/disaster recovery models and POCs/mockups where required. Manage project-related relationships among AV integrators, external AV system designers, internal business unit stakeholders and executive leadership. Review, interpret, and maintain critical service contracts with vendors and service providers. Design and maintain SLA requirements and provide technical analysis to guide teams (IT Multimedia Operations and Engineering) pre, during and post system implementation. Design robust system-wide issue resolution workflows for NYSE Multimedia business processes which continuously improve media systems performance, including communication with the larger IT Operations team for major impact incidents to discover root cause and corrective actions. You will be working with AV/Broadcasting and multimedia hardware in high and low locations; including working with large screens, LED walls, cabling, receiving, and shipping hardware, loading equipment, climbing ladders and scaffolding. Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related multimedia, broadcast or technology degree. 10+ year's hands on experience in Digital Signage, Dalet, IPTV/streaming, Video Walls, AV/IT Technologies including AV over IP networking, Broadcast Control Rooms and Equipment, as well as multimedia asset management and engineering. Comprehensive knowledge of workflows around live streaming video, broadcast media systems, video editing systems, TV control rooms and connectivity. Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate teammates, including the ability to collaborate with executives and senior stakeholders to provide effective organizational strategies for maintaining continuous development of design and engineering best practices, processes, and daily support. Proficiency with disaster recovery, high availability and complex problem solving. Strong server-client fundamentals with systems knowledge in Linux, Windows and MacOS. Minimum 2+ years hands on programing experience. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Firewalls, ACLs, multicast, unicast and AV over IP networking. Strong organizational, project management and performance-oriented time management skills. Experience being in a fast-paced critical environment where quick decisions need to be made. Experience supporting an on-air environment to ensure smooth operations and efficient delivery. Experience in engineering & supporting broadcast centers, studios and control rooms. Able to work independently, handle simultaneous tasks and be adept at prioritizing. The ability to lift 50+ lbs., bend, stretch, and climb is required for this role.Schedule

Base Salary Range for New York Candidates
The expected base salary for this role is between 105,000 - 130,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange's incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.
