Position Overview

　　Navistar is currently recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Lisle, IL. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to focus on conventional vehicle design as well as helping us transition to an electrified future.

　　Responsibilities

　　Development of new truck options and combinations needed to meet customer specifications in a very short time frame

　　Develop knowledge of the interactions between truck subsystems: exhaust, frame, fuel, suspensions, brakes, electrical components, electric vehicles, etc.

　　Regular use of NX, Teamcenter, CDMS, Pharos, and Capital HarnessXC, to ensure correct assembly and systems compatibility

　　Creation and revision of wiring harnesses and battery cables

　　Design proper routing and clipping to secure harnesses

　　Interact with other teams to develop one comprehensive solution that meets our customer’s requests and specifications

　　Analyze the feasibility of containment actions (substitution or deviations) to ensure product integrity

　　Manage the identification, analysis and resolution of engineering issues

　　Minimum Requirements

　　Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science

　　At least 2 years of experience in product design/development and/or computer science experience

　　OR

　　Master’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer ScienceAdditional Requirements

　　Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. 　　Software proficiency and design tools utilized by Navistar: Capital HarnessXC, NX 3d modeling, Teamcenter, Microsoft Office

　　Comparable tools used: Solidworks, AutoCAD, ANSYSS, Creo, Pro-E, Inventor, Catia

　　Work with wiring harnesses, circuit diagrams, 3D modeling, bill of material creation
