  Job Description

  We are looking for cable engineers who have experience in underground cable system design for distribution networks. This role is for cable design from 11kV up to and including 132kV. This will include experience in performing cable simulations in software such as CYMCAP. The successful candidate will also have experience in route identification, joint bay design, bonding requirements and termination requirements.

  Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.

  Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.

  Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving cable design and calculations for both offshore and onshore applications.

  Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.

  Identifies discrepancies in design and optimise design solutions.

  Ability to implement software tools to provide desktop studies and generate reports.

  Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.

  Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design

  elements for engineering works.

  Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.Qualifications

  Preferable Engineering degree.

  Electrical industry recognised qualification, HND/HNC, with enhanced experience.
