Throughout its history, Stanley Consultants' success has beena result of its member expertise, flexibility, and willingness to "gowhere our clients need us."We are seeking a Senior Distribution Engineer to join one of our followingoffices: Austin TX, Chicago IL, Denver CO, Des Moines IA, JacksonMI, Minneapolis MN, or Muscatine IA.This unique opportunity will primarily consist of working with project teamson electric utility distribution system design, analysis, planning,protection, and consulting.System distribution design includes the application of the National ElectricalSafety Code to provide strength and clearance calculations to be used in thedesign of electrical distribution facilities - both overhead and underground.Construction inspection using the same tools will also be required.Application of distribution system analysis software to provide systemanalysis of steady state and transient conditions, develop long-range andcapital construction planning studies as well as performing protectivecoordination studies is also included in this job function.This position also has the potential to be involved in other distributionengineering services, including power quality reviews, reliability,distribution automation, smart grid, and communications.Position Requirements:Candidate must have 15+ years' experience with increasing responsibilityin the electrical utility market.Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from anABET accredited University.Candidate must be a registered Professional Engineer in the United States.Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must be able to work effectively both independently and in a team setting.Demonstrate a high motivation for success and a willingness to take onincreasing responsibilities.Working knowledge of distribution construction standards and National ElectricSafety Code.Be familiar with USDA Rural Utilities Services design bulletins and lendingprogram requirements associated with planning and design.Proficient in the design, construction and maintenance practices ofelectrical distribution systems. Recognize constructability of the design.Review designs completed by other distribution engineers or designers.Mentor and lead less experienced distribution designers and engineers.Opportunity for future department and project management roles.Assume project lead responsibilities which includes meeting productiontargets, budgets, and project deliverables.Assist in marketing business opportunities with key clients and development ofresponses to RFP/RFQs.Valid driver's license.Salary Range: Base Compensation: $94,000-$125,000
