  Senior Director Revenue Accounting Remote - USA,USA Position Summary SolomonEdwards is seeking to hire a consultant with expertise in the technology industry, particularly in SaaS, to contribute to our rapidly expanding client base. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join as the Senior Director of Revenue Accounting. In this leadership role, you will play a crucial part in driving the company's financial success by overseeing all aspects of revenue accounting, with a particular focus on acquisition integration. Essential Duties Revenue Recognition Leadership: • Develop and implement robust revenue recognition policies in compliance with relevant accounting standards. • Provide guidance on complex revenue transactions, ensuring accurate and timely recognition Acquisition Integration: • Lead the revenue accounting aspects of the acquisition process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration. • Assess and align acquired entities' revenue recognition practices with the company's policies. Financial Reporting: • Oversee the preparation and review of accurate and timely financial statements related to revenue, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. Cross-Functional Collaboration: • Work closely with sales, legal, and other departments to understand and address revenue-related issues. • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Process Improvement: • Continuously evaluate and enhance revenue accounting processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency. • Implement best practices to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information. Position Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required. • Proven experience with a minimum 10 years in a Senior Director Revenue Accounting role within a high-tech or software company. • Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and experience with complex revenue transactions. • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading the revenue accounting aspects of acquisition integrations. • Successfully leading the revenue accounting aspects of acquisition integrations, including a track record of effectively merging financial systems, processes, and teams. • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards. • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
