About The Team You’re Joining:
Integra’s Payer Relations team is responsible for the ongoing success of the Company’s Payer client portfolio, ensuring relationship management and cultivation in the pursuit of patient service excellence. The team is focused on client experience, collaborates cross-functionally, and is a key component of corporate development and success. Our clients are comprised of leading regional and national Health Plans, as well as other Payers such as TPAs, self-insured and employer groups.
About The Position:
The Senior Director of Payer Relations is a key leadership role within Integra’s Payer Relations team. Managing a team of 5+, this individual will direct and oversee all aspects of client account management. Reporting to the SVP of Payer Relations + Business Development, you are responsible for the creation and execution of an account management strategy, while training, recruiting, and retaining talent that delivers on this strategy.
You are driven by leading a team that provides a best-in-class client experience for your customers ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and growth. You are an experienced business professional with account management acumen and a passion for healthcare service. You relish operating in a client-facing environment, developing key engagement strategies, and value working cross-functionally to deliver innovative client- and patient-focused solutions.
Salary: $175,000/Annually
Responsibilities and Duties
Create scalable, repeatable account management fundamentals to maximize output of Payer Relations Account Managers to satisfy client needs.
Manage, develop, and lead the Payer Relations account management team.
Function as a team lead for direct/non-direct reports for support when escalations arise.
Drive account management strategy in support of company objectives balanced with client needs.
Innovate through a combination of client engagement, relationship management, and data analysis.
Foster an environment of creativity, accountability, and passion for our customers.
Ensure your team builds and maintains lasting customer relationships in a client-centric, solutions-based manner.
Prepare short- and long-term account goals and objectives.
Motivate team members to exceed expected goals.
Team performance evaluation and management
Regularly present to senior leadership and stakeholders on client progress and team initiatives
Own the proactive management, performance, and retention of the Company’s Payer client portfolio, collecting customer feedback on a regular basis.
Oversee and ensure flawless delivery of service level agreements.
Support process improvement and enhancement
Identify and highlight client, healthcare, and marketplace trends that may affect or inform client strategies.
Build an account management strategy that retains 100% of Integra’s Payers’ clients.
Thoroughly analyze and review data and utilization to ensure appropriate client management.
What will you accomplish in the first 6 months?
In your first 6 months you will learn about and establish relationships with your team, get to know Integra’s Payer clients, and collaborate daily in order to best support the healthcare needs of patients.
What will you achieve in 12 months?
Within your first 12 months working at Integra, you will have become a trusted partner and liaison for your clients, advocating for their members’ needs while directing and overseeing the client satisfaction and retention of a multi-million-dollar client portfolio. You will also build a high-performance team by building trust through demonstrated leadership.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Maintain pulse of client portfolio through strong team leadership
Cultivate key accounts through a strategic, collaborative, and consultative account management approach.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external partners.
Cross-functionally lead client-focused project initiatives (Data, Pricing, Customer Service, Claims, and IT)
A strong foundation of how the Healthcare system operates and the know-how to navigate within that space.
Identify areas of opportunity to inform client-specific strategies.
Support business process optimization in continued support of operational excellence
Have the capability to think strategically and collaboratively drive excellence.
Oversee and ensure flawless delivery of Service Level/Performance Guarantees
Prepare and manage reports for both internal and external use.
Identify and highlight client, healthcare, and marketplace trends that may affect our strategies
Manage and oversee all client business reviews handled by your team.
Serve as a thought leader to achieve and improve overall client satisfaction.
Be the Voice of the Customer to help improve client strategy, while identifying client support needs
Oversee client optimization and education opportunities.
Ability to develop and lead a team.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage relationships and retain clients.
Required Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
10+ years of client-facing experience in healthcare with documented success
Work independently while maintaining team focus.
Demonstrates the ability to lead by example and motivate a team.
Display strong leadership qualities, decision making abilities, and strong business judgement.
Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint, as well as Salesforce or a similar CRM
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Model company values through daily interactions with team members, providers, and payers
Travel as required.
