Job Description
J.S. Held is searching for a Senior Director to join our newly created EMEA Forensic Accounting (Disputes and Investigations) practice based out of London covering the UK/EMEA region. Our EMEA Forensic Accounting practice is at an exciting stage of accelerated growth.
We are seeking an experienced hands on Forensic Accounting leader play an active part in leading and growing our practice in the UK and EMEA. Reporting into the a recently appointed Forensic Accounting Senior Managing Director, the ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record in leading teams and delivering high impact transformation projects for clients. The ideal candidate will provide expert-level guidance, utilising both technical and business diagnostic skills on all areas of forensic accounting and disputes/investigations management to clients across industries, geographies and organisational structures.
Responsibilities
Support and develop the growing Forensic Accounting team in the UK, reporting into the Forensic Accounting Senior Managing Director
Courage to support and the ability to develop the Forensic Accounting practice from the ground up.
Build the eminence of the practice and in conjunction with the Senior Managing Director develop a go-to-market strategy based upon an existing network of client relationships.
Lead and support engagements for clients across EMEA.
Lead on proposal writing and proposal delivery; understand the client’s requirements, objectives and timeframes.
Generate new business leads and business relationships across the spectrum of J.S. Held’s offerings. This will include attending industry events and producing relevant thought leadership content.
Identify internal opportunities to provide the BI practice’s suite of services to existing J.S. Held clients. Identify external opportunities to incorporate J.S. Held’s internal expertise on existing BI projects.
Identify new research tools and information sources to enhance the overall offering.
Additional Qualifications
Significant experience of working in an forensic accounting function, including significant experience in a client facing role
Experience working with consulting clients across multiple sectors, with a track record of generating and managing client relationships.
Experience working in an international environment; understanding the importance of cross border collaboration and synergy.
BA or higher, preferably in a subject that requires strong written skills and the ability to synthesize large amounts of information.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
Able to communicate verbally and in concise written reports and presentations
Ability to work with and communicate with both technical representatives and executives
Attributes & Background
A Bachelor’s or graduate degree with a major in accounting, finance or economics or a related field
Experience of public accounting or closely related field; with experience in forensic accounting
Leadership experience in a consulting practice
A track record of business development success
A portfolio of published thought leadership
Courage to lead and the ability and ambition to build a business from a standing start
Excellent Team, Risk and Project Management skillset
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Willingness and flexibility to travel as required
