　　JOB SUMMARY: Develop and implement advanced analytical and optimization techniques to solve business problems within the purview of the Business Analytics and Industrial Engineering (BAIE) Team. Conduct data analysis to uncover trends and patterns in support of developing solutions that drive business value. Support and guide team members within BAIE in the use of analytical tools to provide value to stakeholders within Universal Destinations and Experiences (UDX).

　　MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　Develop, implement, and maintain advanced analytical and optimization techniques to solve business problems within the purview of the Business Analytics and Industrial Engineering (BAIE) Team. Understand source data and data models to uncover and act on insights derived from the data. Develop solutions that will drive increased margin or reduced cost. Assist in development of requirements documents. Collaborate with the data engineering team to implement new capabilities into production systems. Validate model and solution outcomes.

　　Establish key performance tracking metrics for deployed models and solutions and monitor ongoing solution performance. Validate and solution assumptions and settings on an ongoing basis. Test models against any new products or inputs and update models to account for new inputs. Support the extension of data models to account for new or updated data sources.

　　Support and guide Data Analysts and Data Scientists in the use of advanced model development methodologies. Provide leadership to Associate Data Scientists and Data Scientists.

　　Troubleshoot modeling and optimization anomalies with BAIE team and with stakeholders. Develop test cases to uncover and reduce these anomalies.

　　Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

　　Performs other duties as assigned.

　　SCOPE: Develop and implement analytical solutions which provide revenue generating or cost avoidance solutions for Universal Destinations and Experiences (UDX). Solutions include Food & Beverage, Merchandise, Express Pass, and other ancillary products across UDX.

　　EDUCATION: Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are required, preferably in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, or Industrial Engineering.

　　EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred.

　　SKILLS:

　　Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

　　Strong proficiency with machine learning techniques

　　Strong proficiency with R or Python and proficiency with SQL

　　Familiarity with Azure and Databricks preferred

　　Capable of communicating and expressing ideas clearly and concisely in both written and oral formats.

　　Strong interpersonal, technical, and presentation skills required.

　　Ability to communicate complex concepts to a wide range of audiences

　　Strong collaboration skills
