JOB REQUIREMENTS: Title: Senior Dams and Hydropower Engineer Location:Madison, Wisconsin Job Type: Regular Full-Time What\'s the Opportunity?Anchor QEA is seeking a full-time, senior-level engineer for ourMadison, Wisconsin office to support our growing national dams andhydropower practice. We are interested in a candidate that has thecapacity to grow, is a quick learner, is detail-orientated, is acommitted team player, and possesses strong written and verbalcommunication skills. The applicant will have 10+ years of experience inevaluation, design, and construction of dams and hydropower projects.Experience with dam safety projects including inspections, hydrologicand hydraulic studies, subsurface investigations, slope stability,structural analysis, or other aspects of work with dams and hydropowerprojects is preferred. Responsibilities: Lead dam safety inspections,and manage multidiscipline dam safety related projects includingplanning, analysis, design, permitting and construction for state andfederally regulated dams. Participate and lead business developmentopportunities with existing and new client contacts. Writing to supportthe preparation of analysis and design documents. Field assignments(position may require short-term travel and/or field work[approximately 25%] depending on project needs). What Are We LookingFor? Ideal candidates will have the following: BS or MS degree inrelevant field (Geotechnical, Structural, or Water ResourcesEngineering). 10+ years of experience in evaluation, design,construction, monitoring and/or operation of dams. FERC ApprovedIndependent Consultant (IC). Experience as a subject matter expert (SME)and/or facilitator for risk-based analyses (SQRA or QRA). Understandingof the application of engineering principles to engineering design,including cost estimating, development of plans and specifications,development of bid packages, development of dam restoration plans, andoverseeing design implementation in the field (i.e., constructionmanagement).
