Job Description
The Specialty Generics business of Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Transactional Corporate Counsel, which will be a critical role in the Legal Department supporting several functions including Commercial, Business Development, Procurement, Regulatory, Quality, Environmental Health & Safety, as well as general corporate functions. The Counsel will also support other projects and departments, as determined by the General Counsel of Specialty Generics.
Essential Functions
Counsel senior leaders and other internal clients on a variety of legal issues.
Review, prepare, and negotiate commercial, business development, and procurement contracts.
Be the advocate, advisor and trusted business partner to our internal teams to address and provide practical legal solutions to commercial issues.
Assist with environmental, regulatory, quality, and compliance matters.
Assist with general corporate governance matters.
Oversee the efficient and effective use of outside counsel and legal vendors, while maintaining disciplined budgets.
Support other projects as determined by the General Counsel of Specialty Generics.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Juris Doctorate degree and admission to and active status with a state barExperience & Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a corporate law department or law firm.
Experience with contract drafting and negotiation required.
Experience in or with the pharmaceutical industry is helpful.

Working Conditions:
Typical office working environment. The position will be based in the Company’s Webster Groves, Missouri office. This position could have occasional travel required.
