　　The Senior Counsel role will provide legal support to all businesses in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DACH) and work cooperatively with Emerson Law Department colleagues to ensure compliance with Emerson policies and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

　　In this position, you will keep business unit(s) management and Law Department management fully advised of all significant developments concerning all material matters in a timely fashion;

　　In this role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

　　May directly manage and otherwise lead a regional team of legal professionals, supporting their individual development, project management, and program execution;

　　Exercise good professional judgment, act with integrity, and get results at all times to protect and improve the image and reputation of Emerson and the Law Department

　　You will provide advice on a large spectrum of legal issues using independent analysis, including serving as a legal business partner for all assigned functional areas, such as human resources, sales, procurement, vendor management, manufacturing, quality, marketing, finance, product management, etc.

　　Support the Legal team in:

　　Acting as liaison between business management and other practice groups within the Emerson Legal Function as well as outside counsel

　　Reviewing, advising on, and negotiating various commercial agreements

　　Supporting audits, self-assessments, and investigations

　　Strategic projects in different areas (e.g. implementation of various legislation, applicable new directives and regulations)

　　Manages and supports the post-acquisition legal integration process of newly acquired companies about all applicable legal areas

　　For This Role, You Will Need:

　　Law Degree from an accredited law school

　　5-7 years of relevant work experience in a commercial and international field (in-house or private practice)

　　Licensed to practice law in Germany or a proven track record of 5 years + handling complex German law matters and interacting with a variety of German/Austrian/Swiss customers

　　Intermediate MS Office skills

　　Excellent oral and written English and German language skills, especially for drafting legal documents in both languages

　　Be oriented on finding solutions, be practical, with a strong eye for business, weighing and taking risks

　　Self-motivated and keen on getting involved in and exposed to all kinds of legal matters and business areas

　　Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

　　Additional knowledge in regulatory and compliance areas is a plus

　　Comfortable working with senior management
