  A Day in the Life

  The Compliance Specialist is an individual contributor on the Office of Ethics & Compliance (OEC) Training, Communications, and Culture team who will support the team’s strategy to create desired behavior change and awareness. In this role you will use industry-best methods to develop solutions to advance compliance communication, training, and awareness strategies.

  Your output includes the creation of online training materials, job aids, web and print materials, talking points, presentations, and other content. You must maintain a comprehensive understanding of ethical principles, how those principles align with the Medtronic Mission, and be an ambassador for always doing the right thing. You will work with a broad set of stakeholders across the Global Ethics and Compliance matrix, especially with the U.S.-based Training, Communications & Culture team.

  Understand the current training and communication environment and tools and identify gaps or new areas and determine appropriate methods for delivery of training (e.g., in-person, online, webinars etc.)

  Create and develop targeted training content to support the OEC strategic plan for employee training on related policies and procedures for compliance programs and related key risk areas. This includes training targeted to APAC employees.

  Build strong relationship with internal customers, such as Compliance Officers and program owners, Legal program owners, subject matter experts, and training vendors and other stakeholders.

  Develop in-depth understanding of company’s learning management systems and software for development and launch of training programs and the OEC’s website.

  Act as a positive and professional resource for teammates, business partners and model a culture of ethics and integrity.

  Must have: Minimum requirements

  Bachelor’s degree

  Minimum of 4 years of relevant training, compliance, or bioscience sales/sales training experience OR advanced degree with 2 years of related experience.

  Your Profile

  Experience conducting training needs assessment and applying Adult Learning principles

  Experience with online learning design and tools, especially Articulate products (Storyline/Rise)

  Advanced experience with MS Office suite, especially PowerPoint.

  Understanding of Compliance and Legal issues associated with HCP interactions, including anti-kickback and conflict of interest concerns nice to have

  Ability to work independently and manage learning projects

  Ability to maintain good working relationships with employees at a variety of functional and management levels.

  Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
