A Day in the Life
• Oversees the merged responsibility of both internal and external communications planning and execution in a single role or group within Global Operations & Supply Chain
• Directly manages communications activities that promote, enhance, and protect the organization's reputation to both internal and external audiences
• Advances the company’s narrative to internal audiences as defined, which may involve the strategic conceptualization and execution of creative campaigns
• Handles the creation and implementation of multiple forms of internal strategic communication activities, programs and content guided by the Medtronic Mission and overall business strategy
• Oversees and executes the writing, editing and approval of event scripts, speeches, key documents and reports, promotional materials, press releases, interviews, FAQs and other external and internal communications vehicles as defined
• Guides functional senior leadership as communications business partner on programming and engagement with all audience types (internal and external)
• Partners with Communications team leader and fellow team members in support of team objectives and goal delivery, taking on spot and stretch projects as assigned
Must Haves
• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of Internal/External Communications experience OR advanced degree and 5+ years of experience

• Demonstrated track record in successfully leading larger strategic communications campaigns and programs to completion on time and within budget.
• Strong communication skills: written, verbal, listening (with all levels of the organization)
• Strong interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Influence management skills. Ability to influence both leaders and individual contributors.
• Results oriented; ability to drive to completion in adherence to aggressive project schedules
• Identifies and resolves issues in a proactive, creative, and timely fashion
• Working understanding operations and supply chain operating mechanisms and norms
• Experience supporting cross-functional and cross-regional teams in a matrixed organization and developing collaborative relationships

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
