  What you'll do:

  The Senior Communications Manager will be responsible for driving and executing Realtor.com 's consumer PR program, which includes a significant element of data storytelling. They will be primarily responsible for delivering our value propositions to buyers, sellers, owners and renters via mainstream consumer media. They will also leverage Realtor.com 's proprietary data/trend information and spokespeople to inform home buyers, sellers, renters and owners about what's going on in the housing market. This individual will work closely with the company's product and marketing teams as well as the economic team, to identify news and trends and insert Realtor.com into the news cycle, building on the company's already strong media relationships.

  Previous PR experience using data (such as: surveys, website insights, or economic trends) is a must, as well as the ability to manage multiple media requests, interviews, and written deliverables on a daily basis. A passion for media relations and superior written and verbal communication skills are required.

  Primary Responsibilities:

  -Work closely with the product and marketing teams to identify innovation and campaign opportunities to tell consumer-focused stories.

  -Work with the Realtor.com economics team to create a proactive calendar of impactful research that informs consumers about what's going in the housing market so they can make educated "home" decisions.

  -Develop a deep understanding of the housing market in order to identify newsworthy themes, trends, topics, data points to proactively share with the media.

  -Partner with other PR team members so they can leverage the latest trends/data to better tell their stories too.

  -Expand/build on existing relationships with national and local real estate and economic press on behalf of Realtor.com through regular touch points.

  -Coordinate and manage consumer-focused and product media inquiries and custom data requests, as well as media interviews with the product team and our chief economist and her team of economists/analysts.

  -Identify opportunities for Realtor.com to insert its point of view into news of the day.

  -Serve as a company spokesperson and first point of contact for consumer and media inquiries.

  -Manage media monitoring agency and reporting to ensure reports are accurate and our largest priorities are being measured. Create plans to improve results.

  -Ad hoc travel for industry events and media meetings.

  What you'll bring:

  -Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications or Marketing.

  -8-10 years of related PR experience in a corporate or agency environment. Data/economic PR experience required. Experience with or a willingness to learn the ins and outs of the real estate industry.

  -A robust track record of building and maintaining strong media relationships.

  -Experience as a company spokesperson dealing with product launches and/or data.

  -A knack for spotting news trends and turning them into proactive story pitches

  -Exceptional, articulate communicator with superior journalistic and business writing skills, as well as strong verbal and presentation skills.

  -Self-starter who is able to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively and consistently execute with excellence.

  -Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence stakeholders across all levels and functions, from front-line teammates to senior management.

  -Possesses an eye for what will resonate with various types of media and has the ability to work with internal teams to obtain necessary resources, collaborate and share constructive feedback.

  -Demonstrated business acumen and ability to translate business strategy into clear and compelling communications.

  -Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and operates with a sense of purpose and urgency
