You will work alongside department leadership to build an effective communications program that spans client communications, media relations, website content, social media and event coordination.Your passion, experience and endless curiosity are the missing piece in our drive to transform the built environment and solve our climate, affordability and equity crises. We recognize and value your proven leadership and ability to:Develop external communication strategies aligned with client priorities.Apply effective storytelling frameworks to position McKinstry as a guide within the hero's journey.Articulate our "why" and how McKinstry's vision and values benefit our people, clients and communities.Set and measure KPIs that connect communication efforts to tangible business outcomesInfluence internal senior business leaders and external stakeholders.Develop evolving website and digital content around McKinstry thought leadership platforms.Lead media relations programs that span business, trade and general interest press.Grow and engage national followers on LinkedIn and other social media platforms.Secure local, state and national speaking opportunities to place leadership in the market spotlight.Conceptualize, write and copyedit compelling content that resonates with target audiences.Plan local and national events that foster relationships and spur action across target audiences.Inspire, lead and manage communication teams tied to assigned scopes of work.Provide mentorship and professional development to across the McKinstry enterprise.Collaborate and maintain a team-player mindset.Manage and push forward multiple programs, strategic initiatives and priorities simultaneously.Gain consensus across senior leadership to ensure efforts remain aligned with corporate strategies.Be willing and able to travel locally, regionally and nationally.What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry:Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in public relations, communications, public affairs and/or marketing.Architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) experience preferred.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or equivalent.Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge o
