Senior Buyer/Planner
LOCATION: Must sit onsite in Boulder at least 4 days a week
The Senior Buyer/Planner (Direct Materials) will drive two large programs for the Medical Surgical Portfolio. For IBP, this individual will support the IBP maturity efforts for Supply Planning and be an active participant in step meetings, linking financial & operating metrics to P&L performance, and ensuring operational plans are aligned through the IBP cycle. For MDR, this individual will manage a team of four & will be responsible for PIPO planning & execution for upcoming launches. For the MDR program, you will also serve as the liaison for all cross-functional partners & regional stakeholders.

A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
IBP - Lead the Global Supply Review step meeting across Medical Surgical to drive strategic decisions & investments to support our long-term supply plan.
IBP - Attend step meetings, focusing on supporting and partnering with other IBP step leaders to ensure corrective actions are being taken to improve overall business metrics.
IBP/MDR - Communicate effectively, delivering clear presentations including effectively influencing up, down and across the organization to implement enterprise goals and initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities.
MDR – Serve as the single POC for cross-functional partners (RA, PMO, regions, etc.)
MDR – Facilitate the development of PIPO plans & monitor the execution to plan.
MDR - Coordinate inventory builds, secure approval via IBP process, & ensure volumes are uploaded for correct requirement flow to manufacturing.
Versioning – Identify process improvement opportunities & support A3 projects that aid in new tools/functionality to make work easier to get done for planning community.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree required
Minimum of 4 years of relevant buyer/planner experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant buyer/planner experience
Nice to Have
Experience in demand planning and forecasting systems (Blue Yonder, etc)
Master’s Degree
Strong consultative skills and ability to articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insights to business leaders and internal customers
Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple and conflicting deadlines and priorities
Ideal candidate does not need to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all SC areas but has the Business Acumen to connect supply chain activities pertaining to project
APICs CPIM/CSCP preferred
Medical Device/ Medical Supplies Manufacturing experience
Competent in ERP systems namely DRP, MRPII, JIT, IBP/S&OP processes and methodologies (SAP, BPCS).
Knowledge of distribution planning, logistics, warehousing or transportation a plus.
Project Management, Lean and Six Sigma certification qualifications
High level of familiarity with Microsoft office suite
Strong attention to detail
Ability to operate within a complex organization
Ability to manage tight time commitments in a high-pressure position
Ability to develop solutions and/or innovative ideas to problems and ensure that solutions are consistent with the organization’s objectives
Proven ability to interface in a global team environment with various levels of management, staff, and other functional areas
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with interests in building strong business partnering relationships
Strong verbal and written communication skills
