We are looking for talented and experienced Data engineer who can apply innovative Machine Learning techniques to real-world problems, and convert it to highly business-impacting solutions.Major responsibilities- Use machine learning, data mining and statistical techniques to create new, scalable solutions for business problems- Analyze and extract relevant information from business data to help automate and optimize key processes- Design, develop and evaluate highly innovative models for predictive learning- Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation and model implementation- Research and implement novel machine learning and statistical approachesWe are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Bellevue, WA, USA- 10+ years of professional or military experience- 5+ years of SQL experience- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.- Experience with AWS technologies- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadershipOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
