The Sr. HR Benefits Coordinator is responsible for developing and administering benefits plans and procedures for the organization under the supervision of the Sr. HR Benefits Manager and Director of Human Resources.
The Sr. Benefits Coordinator's primary function is to be the first point of contact for all employee benefit inquiries including all leave of absence.
Administers employee benefit programs to include, but not limited to group healthcare, dental, vision, life, commuter benefits, retirement plans, and employee perks (Daily)
Assist with Time Type Review process and open enrollment (Seasonal)
Assists and guides employees on inquires as it relates to benefits (New enrollment, COBRA, qualifying life events, etc.) (Daily)
Administers all leave requests and provides guidance to employees and managers (Personal leave of absence, FMLA, military leave, etc.) (Daily)
Handles workplace injuries and incidents, ensures timely processing of claims and acts as a liaison between the organization and the worker’s comp vendor (Daily)
Handles unemployment claims and responds by due date (Daily)
Handles Unemployment Hearings - (Daily)
Process Commuter benefits- Add to spreadsheet, Notifying Payroll of additions (Daily)
Process Workers on Leave report- Email managers on returns. (Bi-Weekly)
Run 401K report and update Workday with contribution changes (Weekly- Fridays)
Handles WOTC application processing, follows up with employees, and ensures WOTC tasks are completed by the due date (Daily)
Responsible for oversight of the company’s Benefits email inbox (Daily)
Processes Workday Benefits tasks (daily)
Scans, copies, faxes and files documents into appropriate employee files in HRIS (Daily)
Collaborate with accounting department for payments and deductions (Daily)
Works with the Benefits team to continuously improve benefits offerings and create helpful resources for benefits, as needed
Assist with department projects as needed
Preferred Experience and Education
A college degree or the equivalent is preferred
One or more years of benefits management including leave of absence administration preferred
Ability to delegate tasks and set deadlines
Display exemplary work ethic, maturity, and professionalism
Possess a high level of independent judgment, strong innovation and problem-solving skills as well as highly motivated in an independent environment
Ability to communicate and interface effectively at all levels of the organization
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Possess strong computer skills – technologically savvy
Compensation: Our compensation for this position is 21.63/hr, depending on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
