　　Job Description

　　The Senior Back End Developer will work collaboratively with various members within the Marketing department including developers, managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to develop code and websites for GCE’s web properties. The Senior Back End Developer will leverage an in-depth knowledge of APIs, web applications, development tools, techniques, and best practices to help guide the team in the timely delivery of enhancements, improvements, and new work. The Senior Back End Developer will assist the Development Manager in administrative tasks requiring subject matter expertise such as aiding developers, developing business requirements, and meeting with stakeholders.

　　Primary Responsibilities /Accountabilities/ Essential Functions:

　　Create and maintain advanced web APIs in line with design specifications, fostering seamless collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

　　Stay updated and implement the latest technologies and best practices to improve the performance and usability of web APIs on the server-side.

　　Ensure meticulous attention to detail in delivering complete and high-quality functionalities on time.

　　Engage in team discussions, voicing concerns, sharing ideas, and suggesting improvements to the development workflow.

　　Provide mentorship and support to all team members to assist in the resolution of technical and procedural challenges, including creation of quality documentation.

　　Utilize subject matter expertise to assist in the timely dissemination and development of business requirements to be utilized by the development team.

　　Other duties as assigned.

　　Supervisory Responsibilities

　　NoneExperience/ Education

　　Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (computer science, information technology, etc.) from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent work experience.

　　2 or more years of experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build dynamic websites or web applications.

　　2 or more years of experience using PHP and/or JavaScript to build APIs and web applications

　　2 or more years of experience working on a team utilizing GIT for source code management.

　　Must pass pre-employment background investigation.
