Summary:
Assistant Field Engineer that will form part of the ISS Support team working with a Field Engineer.Responsibilities:
Assisting Engineers with installation, maintenance, and repairs on the company supported systems.
Time booking.
Keep a logbook for company vehicles.
Conducting basic troubleshooting and diagnosing technical problems.
Following established company procedures and protocols for performing technical tasks.
Preparing and maintaining tools and equipment.
Ordering and keeping inventory of supplies and materials.
Assisting with driving company vehicles in any manner requested from the company.
Feedback and updates telephonically, email or media platforms used by the company.
Scheduling appointments.
Uphold and keep track of compulsory certification.
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Following safety protocols and regulations.
Learning new skills and technologies as needed.
Working independently and as part of a team.
Providing excellent customer service when interacting with clients.
Requirements:
Basic understanding of the relevant systems, equipment, or technology.
Ability to follow instructions and technical procedures precisely.
Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring instruments.
Knowledge of computer software or programming tools.
Driver’s License is compulsory.
Work experience in access control and/or CCTV.
Staying up to date with advancements in the field.
Basic Technical Skills:
Hand tools: familiarity with using screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, hammers, saws, measuring tapes, etc.
Power tools: knowledge of drills, grinders, sanders, saws, etc. may be required.
Instruments and meters: ability to use mustimeters, voltage testers, network testers.
Computer skills: proficiency in basic computer operation, including using email, word processing software, and internet browsing.
Ability to work on heights.
Abilities to work in confined spaces.
Field-Specific Technical Skills:
Cabling: basic understanding of network cabling.
Electrical: understanding basic electrical principles, circuits, and wiring.
Electronics: familiarization with electronic components in CCTV and Access Control, circuits, relays and troubleshooting methods.
Software: ability to use specific software related to the field, such as CCTV and Access Control software for engineers or medical imaging software for medical technicians.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Ability to identify and diagnose technical problems logically and systematically.
