　　Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) has an opening for an application engineer in the Interconnect Technologies Division (ITD) within the Aerospace Business Unit.

　　This position will be based in Pune, India and will be responsible for handling customer requests and projects for Japan region.

　　This person will be the primary point of contact with Japanese customers in providing technical support, and in providing best engineering solutions working within the engineering teams. Further, he/she will

　　help customer to specify the right product for their application within the ITD portfolio in order to create new business opportunities across Japan region,

　　understand customer application, identify off the shelf products, generating CAD and sales drawings and prepare pleliminary RFQ response working with the cross functional team,

　　support multiple customer projects at once and effectively communicate commitments to international project teams,

　　be highly proficient in engineering skills, project management and documentation with ability to manage multiple projects in parallel,

　　liaise with other functions in Japan site and provide technical support design-in phase but also thoughout the life of the customer project

　　Develop creative solutions with existing technologies and add novel designs when required to meet the product requirements.

　　Regularly interface with the Sales and engineering teams of ITD Japan, and when appropriate directly with customers, specially Japan:

　　To work closely with Japan customer support team and engineering team to provide right technical support in issuing technical bids to customer

　　Interface with customers and convert their voice to CTQ and effectively communicate with engineering teams

　　Qualifications:

　　Requirement -

　　B.E/B.Tech or ME/M.tech in Engineering from an accredited institution

　　Mechanical/Aerospace/Electrical or related engineering area with 3+ years of experience.

　　Fluency in Japanese language is a requirement to interact with teams and customers in Japan.

　　Experience handling connectors for Aero, Defense, Marine , Space & Railways Markets is an davantage.

　　Skills:

　　Collecting and understanding the product requirements.

　　Dealing with Customer for any query & problem statements

　　Analyzing customer requirement, Identifying service enhancement opportunities along with PLM.

　　Work closely with PLM & customers globally (AMEA / APAC / US & other European regions)

　　Design review & ensuring customer requirements are catered.

　　Supporting Design team for various ideas & generating patented features.

　　Perform product costing (RFQ)

　　Project Management review & track the progress of RFQs & NPIs

　　Able to participate and contribute in strategy building for buisness next few years

　　Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed. English and Japanese (Verbal)

　　Passion and ability to drive projects remotely to completion with little oversight

　　Ability to work across site boundaries in a global virtual engineering organization.

　　Ability to network and develop relationships with other Eaton Aerospace and non-Aerospace resources.

　　Ability to develop productive working relationships with differnet functions within Eaton and external organizations
