Senior Analyst, P&E Strategy
Overview
The Product & Engineering (P&E) Strategy Team's purpose is to ask the right questions, foster big thinking and ensure execution of the answers. The team's work will shape the future of P&E (and Mastercard) by developing and driving timely execution of the strategy.
The role of the senior analyst is to drive insights and critical thinking, provide support in high impact projects including ownership of deliverables, and project management support to ensure efficient execution of the P&E strategy.
The role would provide great exposure to the big picture and would include opportunities to participate in senior level discussions with Product Executives as necessary or opportune.
Candidate should be able to fit into the team by being intellectually curious, energetic, should operate with urgency while demonstrating openness and humility
Responsibilities
The role entails two key areas of focus:
1. Transformation support:
• Responsible for helping drive P&E wide Transformation initiatives to support better building and running of Products
• Support the identification and execution of initiatives to optimize the Program structure in P&E
• Review new Program/ change requests, provide oversight of the P&E Catalog while identifying synergies across different Product areas
• Support initiatives to improve Operational Resilience and Data Driven Product Management
• Partner with P&E Finance on key areas such as profitability analysis, QBR insights, budget planning etc.
• Overall project management support while also owning and executing discrete assignments.
2. Strategy support:
• Works with other members of the P&E Strategy team to support execution of high impact Strategy projects across Business Areas
• Prepares content and articulates insights for update sessions and Exec presentations
• Executing ad-hoc projects as required
• Contributes to the overall strategy agenda through thought provokers, research, market insights such as competitive intelligence relating to product.
Experience:
Demonstrated knowledge of Mastercard (such as business model, strategy, competitive landscape)
Product Management and / or Consulting experience essential
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint with the ability to produce high quality presentations
Demonstrated track record in working across different business teams, navigating and building relationships with senior stakeholders, while bringing critical thinking
Experience conducting accurate financial analysis, working with large data sets, synthesizing large amounts of information and summarizing insightful findings
Proven ability to multi task and manage execution of multiple projects effectively, while maintaining strong attention to detail
Comfortable with ambiguity with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively - both verbally and in writing

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
