What You Will Do :
As part of a PMO team responsible for delivering a range of dynamic solutions for a federal client with global stakeholders, the Senior Acquisition Consultant will assist the client with developing program and acquisition documentation, applying contracting laws, regulations, principles, and procedures to assist in the planning and completion of contracting and procurement activities. The Senior Acquisition Consultant responsibilities include:
Carry out pre-determined and recurring cradle-to-grave contract administration duties.
Conduct acquisition planning, solicitation preparation, market research/analysis, source selection, administration of terms and conditions, cost/price analysis, and preparation of contract award and modifications.
Help to plan and implement efforts to enhance contract efficiencies, analyzing data to develop efficiency recommendations, conducting thorough contract reviews, and collaborating with external stakeholders to present customized acquisition recommendations.
Support the Government in the evaluation of contractor performance, contract termination, and contract closeout.
Develop an acquisition strategy that leverages appropriate performance incentives for vendors to promote agility and program innovation.
Recommend vetting methods/options that the government should consider for evaluating potential vendors.
Identify areas where gaps exist in current services and make recommendations on scoping and strategies to acquire them with the right incentives in place.
Support the client in planning, coordinating, and leading meetings, and keeping contents of meetings focused.
Respond to inquiries on behalf of the client.
Provide expert advice, leadership, and oversight to agency personnel.
Collaborate with client leadership and staff to determine and prioritize business strategies.
Work with client to deliver, monitor, and communicate progress toward goals.
Provide awareness of risks and assessing/monitoring risk when business decisions are made.
Identify and provide recommendations on improvements across the organization.
Effectively manage workload and tasks and ensure delivery of high-quality deliverables.
Ensure compliance with Department and Federal requirements.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
Support metrics development around contract SLA's
What You Will Need :
An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET federal security clearance
Bachelor's degree
FIVE (5) years of acquisition experience
What Would Be Nice To Have :
Proven experience working in federal acquisitions
Federal acquisition experience across multiple federal agencies to leverage best practices and innovative approaches to solving complex procurements
Knowledge of federal acquisitions lifecycle, government procurement processes, and familiarity of key documents that comprise federal acquisition packages
Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
Ability to navigate complex business environments and manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work
Demonstrated ability to offer solutions and articulate the business impact to clients in a clear and concise manner
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities
Ability to write and edit reports, create briefings for senior executives, and customize content for various audiences
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment
Proficient use of the suite of Microsoft Office products
