  As a Senior Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for supervising the function of computerized accounting systems, month-end closing reports and General Ledger reconciliation in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in Finance or Administration within a hotel required. One year of experience in Accounts Receivable in a hotel or related field required. OnQ experience also preferred.High school graduate or equivalent required, four-year college degree preferred. Good communication skills required. General knowledge of accounting operations and aptitude for figures required. Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner and listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and provide positive and proactive solutions. Ability to access and accurately input information into a computer using various computer software programs such as Word and Excel. Ability to listen effectively, speak and write English clearly. Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely with minimal direct supervision, within initial training period after team member begins work. Ability to quickly analyze and solve problems. Ability to operate Office machines: operate calculator/10-key by touch, copier, fax, telephone.

  What will I be doing?

  ·Maintaining all accounts receivable activities and group billing, reviewing aging, liaises with Corporate AR/Billing team and Hotel team to follow-up and resolve past due accounts and customer invoices until payment in full is received or resolved. Set up new accounts in accordance with established credit policy. Reconciling open account status items, guest ledger, and city ledger. Researches and responds to information requests from internal departments and management.

  ·Manage and be responsible any guest inquiries, credit card chargebacks, group charges, TA Commissions, and house charges.

  ·Liaises with the finance team on the AR month-end close related activities including accounts receivable reconciliations. Perform general office administrative duties and any other task as assigned by management. Execute internal control over revenues, expenses, assets and liabilities of the hotel. Handle daily deposits and related general cashiering tasks.

  ·Participate in special projects, team training and development.

  ·Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

  ·Reports results to others and aids others to understand financial matters.

  ·Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships with other finance departments and corporate departments they support.

  ·Collaborates with manager to establish specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish project/department goals.

  ·Attends staff meetings pertinent to work assignments.

  The hourly range is $29 - $31 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
