Job Summary: Accountant will oversee the financial operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.

Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.

Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making.

Coordinate and assist with external audits.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.

Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

CPA certification preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role preferred.

Experience in the manufacturing sector is highly desirable.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong communication and leadership abilities.
