　　Robert Half Finance and Accounting and Kevin Sweet has partnered with a dynamic and rapidly growing firm that specializes in the oil and gas industry! This firm is at the forefront of innovation, providing innovative solutions to meet the evolving challenges of the energy sector. Due to their continued growth and expansion, they are looking to add a newly created Senior Accountant position to their team! My client is looking for individuals with oil & gas experience that are eager to learn and grow within a supportive, dynamic and team environment!

　　As Senior Accountant you will play a key role in the assisting a portfolio of clients and have a variety of responsibilities in the following areas:

　　Reviewing monthly revenue and expenses for accuracy and completeness.

　　Identifying fluctuations, discrepancies and preparing variance analysis reports.

　　Providing guidance and recommendation on oil & gas accounting matters, including taxation, deductions and joint interest billing.

　　Manage the annual processing of 1099 forms and the reporting of property taxes.

　　Assist with the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a seamless transition and adherence to best practices.

　　Prepare account reconciliations, encompassing revenue, royalties, expenses, JIB's, and receivables.

　　Lead the month-end closure and reconciliations, including managing bank accounts, statements, invoices, JIB's, and client-specific journal entries/general ledger.

　　Assist with the processing and distribution of royalty revenue checks to clients as required.

　　Interested candidates must have a bachelor degree in accounting and 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in the oil and gas industry or in public accounting with oil and gas clients. CPA is preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of Excel and working with a variety of ERP systems is required.

　　Knowledgeable of ERP systems

　　Monthly Financial Close experience highly preferred

　　Background working with Monthly Financial Reports

　　Practical knowledge of Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation

　　Demonstrated knowledge of cash reconciliations

　　Deep understanding of Prepare Financial Statements

　　General familiarity with Month-end Journal Entries

　　Prepare Financial Reports experience preferred

　　Earlier work involving Monthly Financial Statements

　　Analyze Financial Statements experience preferred

　　Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation

　　University Degree experience

　　Adeptness in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

　　Strong time management skills preferred

　　Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes

　　Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued

　　Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

　　3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

　　Strong communication and social skills

　　Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus

　　BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
