The bureau partners with communities and organizations across Pennsylvania to provide grants and technical assistance support for local recreation projects, trails and greenways, heritage areas, open space, river conservation, and environmental education programs.

DESCRIPTION OF WORKThe Education and Outreach Program of the Bureau of Recreation and Conservation (BRC) will receive valuable support from this internship. As an Intern, you will play a crucial role in creating promotional, educational, and guidance materials across different media platforms. Additionally, you will contribute to the coordination and organization of various events and trainings conducted by the Bureau of Recreation and Conservation. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of conservation and make a meaningful impact on the community.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employmentThe employment period will occur between the dates of 5/1/24 - 8/30/24.Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.Telework: Interns will have the opportunity to work from home (telework), part-time on a schedule that aligns with their supervisor, so they are in the office on the same days. No full time telework will be approved. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you must report to the office in Harrisburg.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
