Job Description:

　　In this role you will be involved in overseeing security operations and supervision of the security staff at the designated Essentia Health facilities. The primary focus is to ensure that team members are effectively meeting their responsibilities in protecting and securing patients, staff, visitors, as well as the physical premises. The role also involves taking prompt action in security situations that fall outside standard protocols. Your responsibilities would extend to checking and maintaining security equipment, facilitating effective communication between management and the security team, and ensuring that the security officers meet the standards expected by Essentia Health.

　　Key responsibilities:

　　Manages security operations and oversees the security personnel at designated Essentia Health facilities.

　　Ensures that the assigned team members meet mission requirements, aimed at safeguarding patients, staff, visitors, as well as physical assets and premises.

　　Specific tasks encompass creating staff schedules to ensure adequate security coverage during shifts, ensuring continuous training for security officers, and enforcing compliance with medical center regulations, policies, and procedures.

　　Takes immediate action to address security situations not covered by standard protocols.

　　Responsibilities also include inspecting equipment for functionality, fostering open communication between management and staff, and ensuring security officers adhere to Essentia's standards and expectations.

　　Educational Requirements:

　　Associates degree in law enforcement, criminology, or equivalent OR 5 years' experience in Healthcare Security

　　Completion of training and competency in operation of Essentia Health Security and Emergency Preparedness Programs within 3 months of hire

　　Required Qualifications:

　　3 years of progressively responsible security experience with demonstrated leadership experience.Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

　　Background Clearance under MN Statute 326.22

　　Valid driver’s license

　　Completion of Basic Training for Healthcare Security Officers from the International Association of Healthcare Safety and Security (required within 1 year of hire) and renewal not required

　　The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package.
