Robert Half is seeking out a dedicated resource for one of our clients looking to continue to grow and strengthen their security infrastructure. We are seeking a highly skilled Security Network Engineer to join their team, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, implementation, and management of robust security measures for their organization.
Responsibilities:
Network Security Architecture:
Design and implement secure network architectures, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into network designs.
Firewall Management:
Configure, manage, and optimize firewall solutions to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
Monitor and analyze firewall logs for suspicious activities.
Intrusion Detection and Prevention:
Implement and manage intrusion detection and prevention systems to identify and respond to security incidents.
Conduct regular assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
Security Policies and Compliance:
Develop and enforce security policies and procedures in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity frameworks.
Security Incident Response:
Lead incident response efforts in the event of a security breach, including containment, analysis, and remediation.
Collaborate with incident response teams to improve incident handling processes.
Security Awareness and Training:
Contribute to security awareness programs for employees and stakeholders.
Provide training on security best practices and emerging threats.
Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of security configurations, policies, and incident response procedures.
Keep network diagrams and documentation up-to-date.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Security Network Engineer with a focus on network security.
Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNP Security) are highly desirable.
Strong understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) solutions.
Familiarity with security frameworks and regulatory requirements.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
